Keep your installation of Caduceus MMS up-to-date with automated updates
Most software includes some method of maintaining currency. Security software, operating systems, desktop publishers commonly provide users with a streamlined update mechanism.
Unfortunately, practitioners using the standard fare in medical management software packages have grown to expect that the only way to update their software is by so-called "remote update". In other words, when their software requires updating, they patiently wait for a software technican to connect to their computer remotely and perform the updates. Not a very convenient nor secure way to update software.
Is there a better way? Yes.
Using an approach similar to that of anti-virus software, the work of updating Caduceus MMS (and to a larger part all S2 Software) is handled by the AutoUpdater, an intelligent companion application that is installed with Caduceus. AutoUpdater runs in the background patiently waiting for the time to check for updates. Users can also force an update at anytime.
Now that would be enough for most programs. But we've gone further.
Coupling our unique Remote Messaging System, found only in Caduceus and other S2 operations software, with the AutoUpdater creates a dynamic and powerful combination. Once an update is made available, our Support Centre posts a Software System Update (SSU) notice on the Remote Message Server. When this notice is next received by the user, it will trigger the AutoUpdater into action. With Remote Messaging and the AutoUpdater Caduceus is endowed with autonomic intelligence.

To update:
Either start the Software AutoUpdater or run Caduceus and choose 'Update Now...' from the Help>S2 Online menu.
